ROBERT WHITE

BRITAIN'S GOT TALENT RUNNER-UP 2018

Robert White is the only gay, Aspergic, quarter-Welsh comic on the British comedy circuit. Known for his brilliant timing and performance style, Robert’s chaotic stage presence, improvisational skills and delivery won him the 2010 Malcolm Hardee Award for Comic Originality. In the same year, he wrote one of Dave’s Top Ten Jokes of The Fringe.

Robert shot into the mainstream this year when he was runner-up on UK’s biggest television talent competition, Britain's Got Talent. His performances were typically anarchic but hilarious.  His madcap stage presence, improvised songs and unique approach to comedy won over the judges, audience and viewers at home from the very first episode of the show all the way through to the final.

“Robert White killed with this show, matching an amazing presence to clever jokes and pitch-perfect delivery’ ’Just brilliant.” ★★★★ Chortle

“Get him on Shooting Stars - Robert White’s show is a jaw-dropping riot…the mix of lewd innuendo, cheesy jokes, music hall songs played on a knackered keyboard and sound-effects games makes for a side-splitting hour.” ★★★★ The List

DANNY O'BRIEN

Danny has been performing stand-up comedy for the best part of a decade, headlining regularly at top comedy clubs and festivals to worldwide audiences.

As the resident host and owner of The Comedy Crunch in Dublin one of Ireland’s most successful comedy clubs - his friendly, high energy and anecdotal style draws in an audience and brings on the big laughs with ease!

Following in the footsteps of Simon Pegg, Dylan Moran and Dara Ó Briain – Danny was handpicked in 2016 to perform as part of the iconic “Best of The Edinburgh Fest” Show across Australia touring Perth World Fringe, Adelaide Fringe Festival and The Melbourne International Comedy Festival and returned again in 2018. After a sell out month long run at the  Edinburgh Festival Fringe last year and a tour of South East Asia, Danny followed these with a national and international tour with over thirty dates in six countries with his hugely successful 'RaconTour'.  He is a consummate storyteller and capable of charming any audience into submission with his gags.

"O’Brien is genuinely, uproariously funny with a huge stage presence and wicked timing" ★★★★★ The Sunday Independent

DANIEL MUGGLETON

Daniel Muggleton is an Australian stand-up comedian from Sydney, which is objectively a better city than Melbourne, just trust him.

He has sold out shows at festivals around Australia: Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Sydney Comedy Festival, Adelaide Fringe, Canberra Comedy Festival, Darwin Fringe & Sydney Fringe - as well as at The Edinburgh Fringe. His debut album ‘Let Me Finish’ was released in 2017 by Grammy Award-Winning US label Comedy Dynamics, making him the first Australian comedian they’ve ever produced…following in the footsteps of huge American stars such as Kevin Hart, Jim Gaffigan and Bill Burr.

"Very, very funny." Sydney Arts Guide

ANUVAB PAL

Anuvab is the only Indian stand-up comedian after Russel Peters to sell out The Gotham Comedy Club in New York in record time. He’s also the only Indian comedian invited to perform at Harvard University. Times of India lists him among India’s top 5 English speaking comedians, having played over 750 shows and sold out houses across India, the Middle East, Singapore, Hong Kong, San Francisco, South by Southwest Austin Texas, Laugh Boston, New York.

He is now turning his attention towards the UK.  He has been a regular at the London Comedy Store but is now looking to share his observations on the British influence of India and absurdities thereof to a wider British audience.  In 2016, Anuvab was chosen among the top 14 comedians in India to have his comedy special available on Amazon Prime Video among the premiere shows of Amazon's India debut, and joined the hilarious pan-global satirical podcast The Bugle alongside Andy Zaltzman.

"India's most intelligent comedian." New York Times

AND YOUR RESIDENT HOST:

BEN VAN DER VELDE

Standing a statuesque five foot five inches high (not in heels) and weighing in at eleven stone (on a good day) Ben is the current light-middleweight contender for compering champion of North London.

"Sharp and crafty gagsmith, a life-giving compere." Chortle

"Wonderfully improvised riffs showcasing his impressive spontaneity and sharp tongue." Edinburgh Festivals Magazine

“The perfect comedy club host – he is a master of audience interaction. The audience weren’t just warmed up, but pretty hysterical even before the first act of the night hit the stage.”  Huffington Post
