ALICE FRASER

Co-host of The Bugle Podcast

Alice is one of the sharpest-tongued rising stars in global comedy.  Already an established voice in her native Australia she has come to greater prominence in the UK as one of the new generation of comics entrusted to take up the reins of John Oliver's co-presenter seat.  Her shows have played to packed out houses in Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide, New Zealand, London and the Edinburgh Fringe, whilst she has also appeared on Radio 4 and given her own very funny and touching Ted Talk.

“There’s something almost literary about Alice Fraser’s incisive, dextrous hour of compelling storytelling...she could give Daniel Kitson a run for his money." Chortle

“Her stand-up is poignant and gut-punchingly funny...Alice Fraser’s a total star in her own right." ★★★★★ The Herald Sun

ANUVAB PAL

Co-host of The Bugle Podcast

Anuvab is the only Indian stand-up comedian after Russel Peters to sell out The Gotham Comedy Club in New York in record time. He’s also the only Indian comedian invited to perform at Harvard University. Times of India lists him among India’s top 5 English speaking comedians, having played over 750 shows and sold out houses across India, the Middle East, Singapore, Hong Kong, San Francisco, South by Southwest Austin Texas, Laugh Boston, New York.

He is now turning his attention towards the UK.  He has been a regular at the London Comedy Store but is now looking to share his observations on the British influence of India and absurdities thereof to a wider British audience.  In 2016, Anuvab was chosen among the top 14 comedians in India to have his comedy special available on Amazon Prime Video among the premiere shows of Amazon's India debut, and joined the hilarious pan-global satirical podcast The Bugle alongside Andy Zaltzman.

"India's most intelligent comedian." New York Times

SISTERS

Sisters are an award nominated, critically acclaimed new sketch act. After reaching the final of the Leicester Square Theatre Sketch-Off in 2016, their debut show 'White Noise' had a sellout run in the Pleasance Courtyard at the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe and is being taken to the Soho Theatre in April 2018.

"Wickedly dark...a genuinely exciting new voice in sketch comedy." ★★★★ The Telegraph

"Given the double-act genre a real shot in the arm." ★★★★ The List

WILL DUGGAN

Part of the team behind the anarchic Edinburgh Panel Prize winning hit 'Funz and Gamez', Will is the sardonic man behind the mask of Bonzo the dog.  He is also possessed of one of the driest wits in the land, at ease firing back and forth with audience interaction or showing off his impressive smarts on a range of subjects.

"Vibrant and risue, Duggan's comedy isn't really afraid of what you think of him - as long as you laugh that is." Edinburgh Festival Magazine

“Absorbs you so completely you don’t see the payoff coming.” Chortle

HARRIET BRAINE

Harriet Braine is a musical comedian, who dedicates a remarkably large portion of her oeuvre to Art History.

After winning Best Newcomer at the 2016 Musical Comedy Awards, she started gigging around London and the South East and has played at venues as diverse as Up The Creek, the Victoria and Albert Museum, Brighton Komedia, and that building that looks like a cheese grater. She reached the final of Gilded Balloon’s So You Think You’re Funny? competition, and was crowned the winner of the Funny Women Stage Award 2016.

"If you like musical comedy with a twist Harriet will have you howling.” Metro

AND YOUR RESIDENT HOST:

BEN VAN DER VELDE

Standing a statuesque five foot five inches high (not in heels) and weighing in at eleven stone (on a good day) Ben is the current light-middleweight contender for compering champion of North London.

"Sharp and crafty gagsmith, a life-giving compere." Chortle

"Wonderfully improvised riffs showcasing his impressive spontaneity and sharp tongue." Edinburgh Festivals Magazine

“The perfect comedy club host – he is a master of audience interaction. The audience weren’t just warmed up, but pretty hysterical even before the first act of the night hit the stage.”  Huffington Post

Really good variety of performers, a really nice intimate venue, and an entertaining MC. I’ve been before and I definitely recommend it. Visited The Colonel Fawcett on 2018-09-10
