LLOYD LANGFORD

Lloyd's hearty comedy is a delicious blend of jokes, stories, observations, ad-libs, one-liners, accents, theories, topical gags and self-deprecation.  He has performed stand-up all over the world, from Abu Dhabi to Zurich. Ranging from intimate pub rooms to huge venues like the Hammersmith Apollo and Aintree Pavilion.

You may have seen him on Q.I, Never Mind The Buzzcocks or heard him on the Rhod Gilbert Show or The Unbelievable Truth. He's been invited to comedy festivals all over the world, including Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Montreal's Just For Laughs Festival and the Christchurch Busker's Festival.

“There are….. stand-ups who are able to grab hold of ordinary, mundane events, spot things that have never occurred to the rest of us, and turn the results into a spell-binding, hysterically funny comedy. Lloyd Langford is certainly one of those guys.” The Guardian

“A rich tapestry of jokes at his command.” The Independent

“Langford could talk about anything and make it sound quirky and funny.” The List

“His laidback, charming approach to comedy makes him instantly likeable.” Time Out

“A quick and instinctively funny mind.” Metro

KATE LUCAS

Award winning musical comedian Kate Lucas is known for her razor sharp and deliciously dark songs. She combines catchy melodies with original lyrics to showcase her playfully bitter musings on life. Audiences have come to expect examples of what not to say and how not to behave from this gloriously talented young comic. In 2014 she took home the title for the prestigious Leicester Mercury New Comedian of the Year and her performances – as well as her debut Edinburgh Fringe show – have since been met with huge critical acclaim.

“A true musical genius.” Edinburgh Festivals Magazine

“Belly laughs and wide-eyed did-she-really-say-that horror.” Fest

ROB OLDHAM

Still a relative newcomer to the comedy scene, but already with bags of pedigree, Rob's marvellous smart oddball comedy has already gained him much acclaim.  A member of the esteemed Cambridge Footlights in 2016, Rob went onto garner success as a solo performer in 2017 as winner of the Amused Moose Breakthrough Award.

"He has quirky, offbeat sensibilities that distill into smart jokes that rarely sound like anyone else’s." Chortle

WILLIAM STONE

William Stone is gathering moss. Stuck somewhere between reality and dreams in the nineties, he navigates his way through life with one-liners that highlight the absurdity of the mundane.  A one-of-a-kind peach of an act, he recently appeared on BBC Radio 2 as part of the BBC New Act Final.

"William cracks me up, he's got some belting gags that I wish I'd thought of. Highly recommended" Angela Barnes

AND YOUR RESIDENT HOST:

BEN VAN DER VELDE

Standing a statuesque five foot five inches high (not in heels) and weighing in at eleven stone (on a good day) Ben is the current light-middleweight contender for compering champion of North London.

"Sharp and crafty gagsmith, a life-giving compere." Chortle

"Wonderfully improvised riffs showcasing his impressive spontaneity and sharp tongue." Edinburgh Festivals Magazine

“The perfect comedy club host – he is a master of audience interaction. The audience weren’t just warmed up, but pretty hysterical even before the first act of the night hit the stage.”  Huffington Post
