JOHN ROBERSTON

Comedian, author, columnist, satirist, professional troublemaker, multimedia artist, recreational sadist and anarchic improviser, John is an astonishing 21st century renaissance man.  He has toured the world with his 1980s text-based RPG phenomenon 'The Dark Room' and blown the bloody doors of most clubs with his super-charged whirlwind act.

“A manic and quick-witted revelation… if you only see one Perth-born set this year, make it John Robertson.” The Scotsman

“Stylish, alternative, funny.” Chortle

“Brilliant, bemusing and bloodthirsty.” Metro

DARREN HARRIOT

Darren Harriot is an act who is very much coming into his moment.  After gaining a nod for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2017 he has already appeared on BBC Radio 4's News Quiz, Live at the Apollo and Russell Howard's Stand-Up Central.   A confident performer with a captivating charm, Darren’s comedy deals with everything from subverting stereotypes, to everyday observations, to that juiciest of topics, religion – all with a cutting edge.

“Passionate, articulate, witty.” **** Evening Standard

“This sharp debut explores his many contradictions with prime-time warmth. Watch him.” **** The Sunday Times

JASPER CROMWELL-JONES

Jasper Cromwell-Jones is a hapless explorer who retells the stories of his treacherous climbing expeditions.  This wonderfully buffoonish creation of comic Joe Bor gives a tongue-in-cheek homage to works such as Touching The Void, 127 Hours, and Between a Rock and a Hard Place and combines it with our love-to-hate favourite posh-idiot characters evocative of Made in Chelsea and the London Mayoral Elections. Jasper is lovable and laughable in equal measure.

Character creator, Joe Bor, currently does TV warm up for ‘The Graham Norton Show’ and Mock The Week and has done TV warm up on a range of shows including ‘Alan Carr Chatty Man’ and ’8 Out of 10 Cats’. He regularly performs at top comedy clubs around the country.

“Very, very funny.” Harry Hill

“The high gag rate puts many other character comics to shame.” Guardian

AND YOUR RESIDENT HOST:

BEN VAN DER VELDE

Standing a statuesque five foot five inches high (not in heels) and weighing in at eleven stone (on a good day) Ben is the current light-middleweight contender for compering champion of North London.

"Sharp and crafty gagsmith, a life-giving compere." Chortle

"Wonderfully improvised riffs showcasing his impressive spontaneity and sharp tongue." Edinburgh Festivals Magazine

“The perfect comedy club host – he is a master of audience interaction. The audience weren’t just warmed up, but pretty hysterical even before the first act of the night hit the stage.”  Huffington Post
