TOM ROSENTHAL

In a relatively short amount of time Tom has become an award-winning stand-up and star of TV shows such as ‘Plebs’ and ‘Friday Night Dinner’. His comedy is smart, sharp, literate and always bang on the funny button, leading to him winning the coveted Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year and being nominated for the Best British Breakthrough at the British Comedy Awards

"Like a young Mark Watson, he packs in a very high degree of laughs per minute." The List

"High energy, impressive and precociously smart." The Guardian

Talented upcoming star. Time Out

“Vibrant, intelligent and fantastically-arranged…crackles with energy and glows with originality.” Spoonfed

MARIA SHEHATA

An Egyptian-American comedian, born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Maria Shehata has traveled the globe charming audiences with her unlikely blend of Mid-east and American Mid-west perspectives.

Maria’s stand up has been featured on Comedy Central’s “The Watch List,” Showtime’s “Bridging the Gap,” and Nuvo TV’s “Stand Up and Deliver,” as well as the critically acclaimed films “Just Like Us” and the “The Cradle of Comedy.” Most recently, she has won Best Comedian at the Hollywood Festival of New Cinema, and her web series “My Super-Overactive Imagination” won Best Comedy at the Miami Web Fest, where she was also nominated for Best Actress.

“Maria Shehata has a Janeane Garafalo type swagger to her, both funny and entertaining.” LA Times

“Maria is my favorite little Egyptian.” Jim Gaffigan

DAVID MILLS

David Mills is a London-based American actor, comedian and cabaret performer who won the Hackney Empire’s New Act of the Year competition in 2011.

Smart, arch, bitchy, indiscrete and completely hilarious, he is the personification of finely tailored modern comedy with the safety catch taken off.  No topic is safe from his laser-guided gags and he’s a master at seducing an audience with his silky performance with a poisoned punch at the end.  Since then he has performed at venues all over London, the UK and in the US.  He’s opened for Ed Byrne, Margaret Cho and Scott Capurro and performed his solo shows at venues such as Soho Theatre, Leicetser Square Theatre, Oval Theatre, Crazy Coqs and the St James Theatre to name just a few.

“David Mills is heading for the big time. Most definitely one to watch.” Time Out

“A class act. His jokes are beautifully crafted, sparkling little missiles loaded with wit.” The Scotsman

“His claws are as sharp as his suit.” List

SPRING DAY

Originally from New York and a product of the Japanese stand-up comedy scene (nope, we didn't realise it had one either), Spring is an punky, opinionated and idiosyncratic comic who has been tearing it up at global festivals for years.

"She's fucking funny. You'd be hard pressed to find someone more delightful and life affirming than Spring Day. Oh and she's not drunk, that's her real walk." Brendon Burns

"Day's best material is when discussing her cerebal palsy. She's got just the right amount of irreverance and quite expertly makes the audience feel comfortable about laughing at it." The Skinny

AND YOUR RESIDENT HOST:

BEN VAN DER VELDE

Standing a statuesque five foot five inches high (not in heels) and weighing in at eleven stone (on a good day) Ben is the current light-middleweight contender for compering champion of North London.

"Sharp and crafty gagsmith, a life-giving compere." Chortle

"Wonderfully improvised riffs showcasing his impressive spontaneity and sharp tongue." Edinburgh Festivals Magazine

The perfect comedy club host – he is a master of audience interaction. The audience weren’t just warmed up, but pretty hysterical even before the first act of the night hit the stage.”  Huffington Post
