The Colonel Fawcett is a traditional British pub situated on Randolph Street in Camden. The venue boasts two large outdoor areas, a function room and a lounge bar / dining area, all of which are available for hire on request. The venue can cater for anything from couples to small groups, and anything…
We've got to be a little bit coy and cryptic on this one, but safe to say our guest this week is one of the best observational comics to emerge in the UK over the past decade. He's a master at wringing every last drop of comedy from any subject, as well as having a lightning quick comedy mind, making him one of the most in demand and highly regarded comedians in the UK for both his live stand-up and TV work. After fast establishing himself on the live circuit a decade ago, supporting huge comic talent such as Stephen Merchant, Kevin Bridges, Michael McIntyre and Alan Carr, he has gone on to have two sell-out UK tours and two sell-outs runs at the Edinburgh Festival, as well as an Edinburgh Comedy Awards Best Newcomer nomination.
Since then he has become a regular on our screens, making appearances on Live At The Apollo, Would I Lie To You, Have I Got News For You, Celebrity Mastermind, QI, Mock the Week and 8 Out of 10 Cats. If that weren’t enough, he has also received much praise hosting for Xfm and Radio 5’s Fighting Talk and been part of a team that has received multiple BAFTA nominations and RTS awards for a pretty damn famous show on one of the UK's biggest TV channels. Safe to say, seeing him up close in our wee club is an opportunity not to be missed!

The “reigning queen of New York's live storytelling scene” according to Jon Ronson, and host of the hit US storytelling show, The Moth, Sara is one of the most formidable new voices in stand-up comedy. Filthy, funny and incisive, Barron skewers her husband, her child, WhatsApp, herself and anything else that hoves into the view of her laser-guided ire. As heard on The Guilty Feminist and BBC Radio 4 Extra.
“Barron is, dare we say it, as funny as David Sedaris. When you aren’t squirming, you’re laughing out loud.” Los Angeles Times
“A hilariously brutal look at the 'joys' of motherhood, marriage, sex and friendship.” British Comedy Guide
Lindsey Santoro hails from Birmingham (but don’t hold that against her). She recounts tales of her misadventures in life, all in her trademark down to earth, side-splitting style. Naturally charismatic and immediately lovable, in the past year she has found herself in the final of the English Comedian of the Year award and supported Joe Lycett on his biggest national tour to date.
"One of the most naturally hysterical and gifted comedians in recent memory." Joe Lycett
BEN VAN DER VELDE
Standing a statuesque five foot five inches high (not in heels) and weighing in at eleven stone (on a good day) Ben is the current light-middleweight contender for compering champion of North London.
"Sharp and crafty gagsmith, a life-giving compere." Chortle
"Wonderfully improvised riffs showcasing his impressive spontaneity and sharp tongue." Edinburgh Festivals Magazine
“The perfect comedy club host – he is a master of audience interaction. The audience weren’t just warmed up, but pretty hysterical even before the first act of the night hit the stage.” Huffington Post
