BETHANY BLACK

Bethany Black has been a professional stand-up comedian since 2004. Her debut show BETH BECOMES HER detailed the story of her being transgender, chronicling everything from her coming out through her transition and eventually falling in love. It was nominated for Best Debut at the Leicester Comedy Festival in 2008, eventually losing out to Sarah Millican.

Over the course of her career she has performed alongside some of the biggest names in Comedy, including Allan Carr, Sarah Millican, Tim Minchin and Rhys Darby.

In 2015 she was cast as Helen in Russell T Davies multi channel shows CUCUMBER, BANANA and TOFU where she was the first trans actress to play a leading role and then went on to achieve the dream of so many British nerds as she was cast in an episode of Dr Who.  She is now one of the most in demand and original headliners in the country, working for major clubs like The Comedy Store, the Glee and Hot Water Comedy.

"Bethany Black should prepare for world domination." Beyond the Joke

"The anecdotes are pitched perfectly...very funny." Chortle

Louise has a warmth on stage that engages the audience from the off. "Louise Young is dynamite! Intelligent and street smart, she wins the entire room over with wonderfully written jokes, a spellbinding stage presence and the timing of a 20-year pro." Punch Drunk Comedy

BABATUNDE ALESHE

WINNER: BEST NEWCOMER - BLACK ENTERTAINMENT COMEDY AWARDS

Fast rising young star Babatunde Aléshé is already one of the biggest names on the Black British comedy circuit.

Passionate about being the all-out family man, his stand up presents a hilariously fresh perspective on his newfound life. Each powerhouse performance oozes charisma and showcases impeccable stagecraft and comic timing.

Whilst regularly performing for thousands at iconic venues such as the O2 and Hackney Empire, Babatunde has also already authored provocative factual content drawing his own powerful story of growing up poor in inner city London.

Most recently he was selected to appear on Dave Chapelle’s live showcase The Process, solidifying his place as one of stand up’s most exciting breakout talents.

ALI MAC
