LAUREN PATTISON

EDINBURGH COMEDY AWARD NOMINEE: BEST NEWCOMER

One of the brightest young talents on the comedy circuit, this baby-faced comic has proved herself a force to be reckoned with.

Lauren made her mark on the comedy scene in 2017 like a crash-landing Geordie meteorite with her smash-hit, sell-out, critically acclaimed debut show Lady Muck, which was lauded as one of the strongest debut the festival has seen in years. It received a Herald Angel Award and was nominated for Amused Moose Best Show and an Edinburgh Best Newcomer Comedy Award. The success of the show has seen it go on to a six night sell out run at London's famous Soho Theatre, as well as runs at the Perth and Adelaide Fringe in Australia, and the Auckland Comedy Festival in New Zealand.

Since then her mixture of bawdy confessions, daft stories and enormous charm have made her a favourite on the club and festival circuit alike, as well as being tour support for Katherine Ryan, Dane Baptiste and Kerry Godliman.

“You. Are. So. Funny.” Katherine Ryan

“Even when packing a punch, her demeanour is breezy, frank and friendly, making her wickedly engaging company ... a fully equipped comedian.” Chortle

“Razor wit and brutal honesty ... outstanding.” The List

“Deliciously bawdy.” The Telegraph

BEN VAN DER VELDE

Freshly returned from the Edinburgh Festival, Ben is ready to take the helm at Good Ship once more and steer it through the vast ocean of comedy we have on offer.  One of the quickest wits around and a much-loved compere, he always brings a jam-packed back of nonsense, silliness and wisecracks to every gig he hosts.
