ROBERT WHITE

BRITAIN'S GOT TALENT RUNNER-UP 2018

Robert White is the only gay, Aspergic, quarter-Welsh comic on the British comedy circuit. Known for his brilliant timing and performance style, Robert’s chaotic stage presence, improvisational skills and delivery helped him shoot into the mainstream when he was runner-up on UK’s biggest television talent competition, Britain's Got Talent. His performances were typically anarchic but hilarious.  His madcap stage presence, improvised songs and unique approach to comedy won over the judges, audience and viewers at home from the very first episode of the show all the way through to the final.

He has been a much admired staple of the circuit for almost two decades and his mixture of music hall bravado, world class wordplay and artful filth means he is capable of tearing the roof off any stage he graces.

“Robert White killed with this show, matching an amazing presence to clever jokes and pitch-perfect delivery’ ’Just brilliant.” ★★★★ Chortle

“Get him on Shooting Stars - Robert White’s show is a jaw-dropping riot…the mix of lewd innuendo, cheesy jokes, music hall songs played on a knackered keyboard and sound-effects games makes for a side-splitting hour.” ★★★★ The List

LUCA CUPANI

As a newcomer to the London comedy scene, Luca performed his first stand up set at the famous Gong Show at the Comedy Store – and won.  This set him off nicely on his path to winning the So You Think You’re Funny? competition in Edinburgh 2015. Luca appeared at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, before bringing his show The Admin of Death and Other Confessions to the Free Fringe – for which he received 4 stars in the Scotsman. He has taken part in the Seattle and San Francisco International Comedy Competitions.  He is a bewildering and charming presence on stage, sharing tales of life as an Italian abroad.

"Funny and fresh and so, so moreish." The Scotsman

CHARLIE PARTRIDGE

Their podcast has over 33 million listeners worldwide. Charlie hosts a variety of other live events including Tough Mudder, End of The World Party and functions for private clients including Playstation, Red Bull Formula 1 and Brit Awards After Party.

“Banter at a pitch somewhere between vintage Vic and Bob and even-more-vintage Ade and Rik.” Chortle

KIERAN LAWLESS

Kieran Lawless is an Irish comedian now based in Manchester. He has worked in comedy clubs across Ireland and the UK including supporting Patrick Kielty in Dublin’s Olympia Theatre. He has appeared on RTE television twice as a Stand Up and has scooped a number of New Comedian awards.

AND YOUR RESIDENT HOST:

BEN VAN DER VELDE

One of the quickest wits around and a much-loved compere, he always brings a jam-packed back of nonsense, silliness and wisecracks to every gig he hosts.

"Sharp and crafty gagsmith, a life-giving compere." Chortle

"Wonderfully improvised riffs showcasing his impressive spontaneity and sharp tongue." Edinburgh Festivals Magazine

“The perfect comedy club host – he is a master of audience interaction. The audience weren’t just warmed up, but pretty hysterical even before the first act of the night hit the stage.”  Huffington Post
