RIA LINA

Fearless, provocative and very funny, Ria Lina is a highly accomplished comedian, writer, actor and one of the hardest working performers in the business. A hugely admired act on the UK comedy circuit, she commands respect from the moment she walks onstage and delivers with natural ease, energy and fierceness. Ria is the only female Filipina comedian in British stand up and headlines at major clubs in the UK and internationally.

Ria has every degree up to a PhD in Virology under her belt so it’s not only her comedy that is highly intelligent and no subject is too taboo. Her audacious routines always pack a punch and are brimming with charm and biting wit.

2021 is the year Ria finally broke into the big time, appearing on Mock the Week and Have I Got News for You, with an appearance on Live at the Apollo following quick on their heels.

"Engaging, endearing and eye-opening." Time Out

"Slickly done – there’s no denying that the girl’s got talent." Chortle

CHRIS STOKES

A brilliantly wry and award winning comic, Chris Stokes has been performing stand-up professionally since 2009. His career has seen him support Milton Jones, Pete Firman and Stewart Francis on tour, appeared on ‘Dave’s One Night Stand’, BBC Radio 4, 5Live, BBC Three and Radio X and take five critically acclaimed solo shows to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. With a hilarious and erudite turn of phrase, Stokes plays on social misconceptions, dismantling them both on stage and on the page via gag-packed first-hand anecdotes told with a charming and offbeat sincerity.

“Very gifted… Has the talent to one day have the world at his feet.” The List

“Real talent… It takes some flair to mix script, tangent, conversation and heartbreak and make it all look so effortless.” The Skinny

CELYA AB

Celya AB is the most unique emerging talent on the UK circuit. Originally from Paris, France and of French – Algerian origins. Celya is now residing in the sunny city of Birmingham and has been making a huge impression on the UK comedy scene despite only starting her comedy career in 2017. Able to perform in French & English, Celya’s sharp writing brings a unique look into life as a EU expat living in post brexit Britain.  With a very likeable stage presence and natural ability Celya looks destined for the top

“I was shocked and appalled by Celya’s sharp and annoyingly observant gags. An exciting and promising writer.” Joe Lycett

ALICE BRINE

Freshly arrived from New Zealand, she's already become a viral sensation a video all about consent and was hand-picked to support Alan Carr on his tor of the South Pacific.

"Superb." Cosmopolitan

AND YOUR RESIDENT HOST:

BEN VAN DER VELDE

One of the quickest wits around and a much-loved compere, he always brings a jam-packed back of nonsense, silliness and wisecracks to every gig he hosts.

"Wonderfully improvised riffs showcasing his impressive spontaneity and sharp tongue." Edinburgh Festivals Magazine

“The perfect comedy club host – he is a master of audience interaction. The audience weren’t just warmed up, but pretty hysterical even before the first act of the night hit the stage.”  Huffington Post
