JEN BRISTER

Jen is a comic who is finally getting the recognition she deserves after years of acing it on the circuit.  

Whether mining her Spanish heritage, life as a new Mum with her partner or unleashing her laser-guided sights on modern life, she's never anything less than hilarious. She has performed stand up in clubs all over the country (literally) as well as sketch comedy in numerous groups including the Loose Connection. Most recently Jen returned to host Live at the Apollo. She has taken several extremely well received solo shows up to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, as well as performing as part of The Comedy Zone at the Pleasance and appearing in Trevor Lock’s hilarious play “The One & The Many”.  She has worked at BBC 6 Music where she presented a number of different shows including the weekend overnights, the weekend breakfast show and stand ins for Lauren Laverne, Liz Kershaw and Jon Holmes.

Alison Spittle is an award-winning writer, actor and comedian. She is co-creator and co-presenter of the BBC sounds podcast Wheel of Misfortune and is a regular co-host ofThe Guilty Feminist. She is the creator and star of the television series Nowhere Fast, which aired on RTÉ2, BBC America and Stan Australia to critical acclaim. Her first playStarlet premiered to great acclaim, garnering five stars from The Sunday Times.

Alison’s chat show podcast,The Alison Spittle Show has amassed a huge following with guests such as Sharon Horgan, Adam Hills and David O’Doherty. She performs at podcast festivals across Ireland and the UK.

Writer and star of the sitcom 'Nowhere Fast' (RTE) as well as her own sky comedy short (Sky Arts) and  a regular guest host of the Guilty Feminist podcast, Alison is one of the most original, innovative and exciting new acts to come out of Ireland in recent years.

Pope Lonergan is a comedian, writer and  creator / host of ‘The Care Home Tour’ (“The comedians taking slapstick into new territory” ~ The Guardian) and ‘Pope’s Addiction Clinic’. He gigs all over the UK and has had sold out shows at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Brighton Fringe, Vault Festival, Leicester Comedy Festival and Hastings Fringe. ERIC ROY RUSHTON

Since his comedy debut in 2014, Eric Rushton has been mixing with the best newcomers on the comedy scene, and impressing audiences with his intelligent, playful material and likeable, self-deprecating stage persona. In January 2020 he won the prestigious 'Leicester Mercury Comedian of The Year' award - an award that was previously won by the likes of Romesh Ranganathan, Jason Manford and Jonny Vegas on their way to stardom.

THE AWKWARD SILENCE

The Awkward Silence are a sketch comedy double act. They're Ralph Jones and Vyvyan Almond. They've been shortlisted for a few awards, including a Writers' Guild Award, but they don't go on about it. Separated at birth (by a couple of years, and because they were born in different places), they're happy to be here and wish you the best.
