Description
Join us for a festive variety show at one of the most unique venues in London: the crematorium of West Norwood Cemetery, on of the Magnificent Seven Victorian Cemeteries.
ROBERT WHITE
Robert White is the only gay, Aspergic, quarter-Welsh comic on the British comedy circuit. Known for his brilliant timing and performance style, Robert’s chaotic stage presence, improvisational skills and delivery helped him shoot into the mainstream when he was runner-up on UK’s biggest television talent competition, Britain's Got Talent. His performances were typically anarchic but hilarious. His madcap stage presence, improvised songs and unique approach to comedy won over the judges, audience and viewers at home from the very first episode of the show all the way through to the final.
He has been a much admired staple of the circuit for almost two decades and his mixture of music hall bravado, world class wordplay and artful filth means he is capable of tearing the roof off any stage he graces.
“Robert White killed with this show, matching an amazing presence to clever jokes and pitch-perfect delivery’ ’Just brilliant.” ★★★★ Chortle
“Get him on Shooting Stars - Robert White’s show is a jaw-dropping riot…the mix of lewd innuendo, cheesy jokes, music hall songs played on a knackered keyboard and sound-effects games makes for a side-splitting hour.” ★★★★ The List
BEC HILL
Australian-born Bec Hill is an award-winning comedy performer and sought-after television writer who has gained an international cult following thanks to her never-ending inventiveness on TV, social media and in live shows. She has a talent for incorporating arts-and-crafts into her stand-up routines, resulting in an unforgettable and self-taught performance style that she calls “paper-puppetry”.
She is also a sought-after comedy writer, which started when her one-liners were regularly featured in "best joke" lists by "reputable" sources like The Telegraph, Dave, The Guardian, The Independent, Daily Record and Buzzfeed which wasn't surprising, as she was the creator of the UK’s first pun-based comedy night, Pun Run.
She writes and hosts her own family-friendly CITV series 'Makeaway Takeaway', and is the creator and author of Hachette’s new collection of creep-tastic books called 'Horror Heights”. Bec has appeared on multiple comedy and panel shows, including 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, The Jonathan Ross Show, Jonathan Ross’ Comedy Club, and every season of The Dog Ate My Homework. When she isn’t performing, writing, or going viral for her paper-puppetry, she co-hosts the podcast “A Problem Squared” with mathematician and YouTuber, Matt Parker. She loves sci-fi, is the self-proclaimed Tooth Fairy for Adults, and owns a dwarf hamster called Pudding.
“Bec Hill: exuberant, daft and inventive.” ★★★★ The Scotsman
“There’s something special about Bec Hill.” ★★★★ The Times
